Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine

Service Description

Chinese herbal medicine can be a highly beneficial addition to acupuncture treatment, especially for chronic conditions that do not respond easily to treatment or when the body needs additional or deeper support to restore balance. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, herbs are used to nourish and regulate the body’s Blood and Qi, support healthy circulation and assist the body in removing “toxins” which hinder the natural, healthy flow of the Qi. Herbal medicine is not always needed, but in certain cases it can offer deeper and more sustained support alongside acupuncture treatment. To offer this integrated approach, I have joined forces with Carmen O’Dwyer, a healer and Chinese herbal medicine practitioner. Together, we offer a combined session of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, allowing patients to benefit from both therapies at a reduced cost. The combined session lasts 90 minutes. Carmen and I will carry out the intake together for approximately 45–60 minutes, after which you will receive your first acupuncture treatment. Following the session, Carmen will provide your personalised herbal prescription. Location: Sessions take place on Tuesdays at Sacred Dao - Brouwersgracht 167-4, 1015 GH Amsterdam. The herbs are paid directly to the pharmacy. Sacred Dao will issue a separate invoice for the Intake + Acupuncture treatment at the usual rate of €90 (reimbursable as per your insurance package).
